Integrated Alzheimer's Research Group (IARG) - Giving back Alzheimer's patients their lives
The purpose of IARG is to provide early intervention and education on Alzheimer's prevention and treatment by developing an innovative one-on-one approach to help Alzheimer's patients in Residential Care Facilities for the Elderly (RCFE) who are between stages two and five of Alzheimer's disease.

The strategies of the IARG program are designed to help Alzheimer's patients become higher functioning and productive in their activities of daily living rather than being dependent on their caregivers. The program, which combines diet correction, supplementation and detoxification remedies, is the basis for a care plan for RCFE to reverse the disease in Alzheimer's patients and hold it in remission.

Alzheimer's Disease doesn't have to be a death Sentence!

By creating awareness of Alzheimer's disease, we can create an effective template that can be used in individual households, care homes and nursing home facilities. Productive individuals struck down with Alzheimer's and placed in nursing homes can gradually regain their independence and return home with minimal assistance; caregivers can have a resource to help them with their loved ones; and individuals can learn to prevent the onset of Alzheimer's. Eventually the death rate from Alzheimer's can begin to decline like the other major diseases.
Therese Johnson

Therese Johnson, Executive Director of Integrated Alzheimer's Research Group (IARG), has fifteen years experience working as a degree certified gerontologist specializing in behaviors of Alzheimer's disease, and as a RCFE Administrator/Owner. She is a Senior Care Consultant and provides care plans for seniors as well as Reiki treatments and classes to the public. She is working to obtain funding to implement IARG's program nationwide.

She has effectively implemented the behavioral components of the IARG's program using the behavioral techniques of Reiki and 'Validation therapy', created by Naomi Feil, to improve the lives of residents under her care at her California State Licensed RCFE.

The difficult behaviors she has been able to reduce and/or eliminate using Reiki and Validation therapy are wandering, paranoia and pacing. In addition, her residents' lucidity or "moments of clarity" improved when they received Reiki on a regular basis
